PDAC to AFN Memorandum of Understanding Deconstructed

Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) are non-legal agreeements between parties who have reached consensus and now wish to move forward. The most recent MOU relevant to the mining industry is that just signed between the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and the National Indian Brotherhood (NIB) acting for the Assembly of First Nations (AFN).
I managed to obtain a copy of the PDAC and AFN MOU (that is a lot of acronyms!) and have posted a copy at this link.

PDAC 2008 Blog Explosion

Something amazing happened overnight. No, I do not mean the resuscitation of Hillary. I mean the sudden explosion of information on the PDAC blog. Bravo. This is what blogs are supposed to be: a source of information, perspective, and opinion to entertain and enlighten. PDAC has finally gotten there.
Personally, I prefer Republic of Mining as a source of information on the PDAC. Stan Sudol avoids the “institutional” tone that plagues official utterances. Clearly he has been busy:
